DESCRIPTION

The FP&A Lead for Fire TV, Advertising and Appstore (FAA) supports the FireTV and Appstore businesses with facilitating consolidated financial reviews and providing insights into business performance and forecasts, drive efficiencies on fixed and variable costs, Headcount (HC) reporting and forecasting, owning Goals reviews for FAA, and continuously improving FP&A processes to improve our financial stewardship of the FAA businesses.

This candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and support decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead reporting for Planning, Forecasts and Actual reporting cycles
  • Manage Headcount for the FAA org
  • Summarize financial performance and drive Ad hoc analyses as needed for executive leadership
  • Work with finance and business users to determine and provide the metrics, reports, and analyses needed to manage and act on the business.
  • Develop scalable solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
  • Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
