About us:

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong work ethic to be part of our team as the International Industrial Development (ID) Manager for Lockheed Martin (LM) Global Business Development supporting the central Asia/Pacific region including Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and India. This role will be based in Singapore, and reporting to our Director Global Industrial Partnerships, LM Global Business Development and Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

Serves as a regional subject matter expert, our International Industrial Development (ID) Manager will collaborate with external customer stakeholders and internal Business Area leadership for all LM Industrial Development programs in the assigned region along with serving as the in-country Industrial Development team leader. Your responsibilities includes (but not limited to):
  • Working with Industrial Development and program teams in supporting the development of strategic industrial proposals and managing cross-corporate Industrial Development coordination.
  • Designing and developing recommendations to strategically enhance the corporation’s internal growth objectives and conducting business in strict compliance with all corporate and company command media and within applicable state, federal and international laws and regulations.
  • Providing collaboration for the Business Areas with all industrial partners, industrial authorities, industries/businesses and various business councils. Establishing and maintaining key relationships among key business, military and academic leaders and senior country officials.
  • Engaging senior leadership and key decision-makers with LM business opportunities.
  • Acting with prior consultation, coordination, and communication among Business Area Industrial Development leadership to further OneLM business industrial strategies/objectives and enable most favorable policy/regulatory environment with efficient discharge of industrial obligations; ensures complete coordination with Business Areas prior to in-country engagements/messaging.
  • In conjunction with Business Area industrial teams, presents and proposes industrial initiatives/projects to country senior leadership and key decision-makers to obtain buy-in and deliver results.

About you:

Our ideal candidate is a self—motivated candidate with a significant experience and knowledge in industrial development/industrial participation/offsets or business development experience, especially knowledge of the Asia/Pacific Industrial Development landscape, country requirements and political/policy trends (preferably in Aerospace/Defense industry) . You have skills/demonstrated experience in:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership and key decision-makers, as well as industrial partners, industrial authorities and various business councils.
  • International business experience with knowledge of international cultures and customs.
  • Customer relations skills and excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Being a Team Player – demonstrated ability and effectiveness at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives.
  • Understanding and interpreting international customers’ needs and requirements and communicating them back to Business Areas.
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced international environment and wiliness to travel worldwide without restriction.
  • Strong financial background including evaluation of financial reports, business plans and economics, through combination of education and related job experience is highly advantageous.
  • Prior experience serving in a regional (SEA) U.S. defense office position, such as an Embassy, or experience in another foreign defense office role is highly desirable.
