about this team

The Digital Buying & Planning team creates and executestransformative product strategies that ensure we have the right assortment in the right place at the right time across our digital and marketplace channels. The Digital Buyer is responsible for the assortment planning of our marketplaces, leveraging awareness of competitive landscape and guest needs to maximise demand and grow our digital business. The Digital Buyer will lead effective cross-functional partnerships with Planning, Marketplace Partners, Digital, Brand and the broader Buying team to deliver a cohesive assortment strategy that supports and strengthens our brand across every digital touchpoint.

core responsibilities

This position is responsible for driving and supporting the creation of assortment strategies that deliver on our digital growth plans on both owned channels and marketplaces.

  • You contribute to the financial success of the region by meeting and exceeding sales, gross margin and inventory productivity goals of digital and marketplace channels through the effective partnership with the Planning team.
  • Using the preliminary Global Assortment, create a compelling, locally relevant product assortment for marketplaces.
  • You are a digital "market expert" and can effectively communicate key data points, including merchandising strategies, digital metrics, guest data, athletic and fashion trends and competition that inform the regional product and digital strategy.
  • You lead weekly, monthly and quarterly product reviews with the digital and marketplace teams, delivering on timely, measurable, and actionable feedback.
  • You work with marketplace and digital teams to deliver product priorities and operational excellence across campaigns and digital experience.
  • You train and support our Digital Product Co-ordinator.


qualifications
  • 4+ years' experience in retail in a buying role
  • Bachelor's degree qualified (Business, commerce preferred)
  • Marketplace experience highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret multiple data points across numerous channels and market segments
  • Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team
  • Excellent sense of style and colour trends; athletically minded
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
  • Entrepreneurship - an ability to make decisions and take calculated risks
  • Focus on creating an extraordinary guest experience, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Self-awareness, with a desire for constant self-improvement (goal -oriented)
