Our client, a leading organization in its field, is seeking an accomplished and highly organized Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT infrastructure projects within a fully remote setting. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering large-scale technology initiatives on time and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure, utilizing advanced collaboration and project management tools.

Key Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration across distributed team members. Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential problems and developing mitigation strategies. Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, best practices, and company policies. Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement process for project-related services and equipment. Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder reviews using virtual collaboration platforms. Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs effectively. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools. Effectively manage change requests and their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget. Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP or similar certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on IT infrastructure projects (e.g., data center, cloud migration, network upgrades). Demonstrated success in managing projects with budgets exceeding X million KSh and cross-functional teams in a remote environment. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to manage risks, issues, and changes effectively. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced remote setting. Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
